I had a similar reaction when I first heard Chappell. I really love her — her music is special. And a lot of my Gen X friends do too. Her synth skews ‘80s but her themes are universal

Yes! I didn't get into this much here, but I *so* appreciate someone really coming to ENTERTAIN and not being shy about it. And the '80s vibes are real and very effective on me as a Gen Xer. I swoon every time I hear those Wham!-like synths at the beginning of "Good Luck, Babe!"
